Jeroen Noomen
Jeroen Noomen (born April 14, 1966 in Baarn , Netherlands ) is a Dutch chess player . He is considered one of the leading experts in the field of opening theory , especially in connection with computer chess .
Jeroen Noomen has been studying computer chess intensively since 1979. He is an avowed and passionate collector of chess computers . In the past, he worked with Ed Schröder , the developer of the Rebel chess program , and helped him analyze numerous computer games played, as well as the creation of an opening book for Rebel , who became the computer chess world champion in 1992 .
Jeroen Noomen has recently developed an opening book for the Rybka chess program , which he has optimized specifically for its style of play.
