Jeschua (also Jehoshua ), the son of Jozadak , was about 515-490 BC. Chr. High Priest of Israel. In Zechariah 3,1-10 and Targum Zechariah 3,1-10, in one of Zechariah's polemical night visions , the spirit of the deceased high priest appears in a heavenly judgment.

In the Hebrew text, Yeshua is referred to as יהושע (Yehoshua) in the book of Zechariah, and ישוע (Yeshua) in the book of Ezra. German Bible translations mostly use Yeshua uniformly. Other forms are Joshua and Joshua .
