Yevgeny Germanowitsch Vodolaskin

Evgenij Germanowitsch Vodolazkin (born February 21, 1964 in Kiev , Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic , Soviet Union ) is a Russian literary scholar and author .

Life

Vodolazkin graduated from the Philological Faculty of Kiev University in 1986 . Since this year he has been working in Saint Petersburg at the Institute for Russian Literature , the Pushkin House , in the Department of Old Russian Literature with the name Dmitri Sergejewitsch Likhachev . He received his PhD in Philology in 2000 .

In the following years he spent several years abroad, including in his hometown and in Munich, and published several award-winning books.

  • 2009: Nomination for the Andrei Bely Prize for Solowjow and Larionow .
  • 2010: ditto for the Bolschaja Kniga Prize for the same book.
  • 2013: Bolshaya Kniga. for Lawr .
  • 2016: Gorky Prize (Sorrento). for the same book.
