Dmitri Sergeevich Likhachev
Dmitri Sergeyevich Likhachev ( Russian Дмитрий Сергеевич Лихачёв , * 15 . Jul / 28. November 1906 greg. In St. Petersburg ; † 30th September 1999 in Saint Petersburg) was a Russian philologist and Slavist , member of the Russian or Soviet Academy of Sciences .
Likhachev wrote a large number of studies on the history of Russian literature , mainly on the Old Russian period. Epoch-making for Slavic studies was his monograph on textual criticism , which deals with issues of editing technique.
