The Jewish Virtual Library (JVL) sees itself as the most comprehensive online encyclopedia on Judaism with 16,000 articles and 7,000 images . It was founded in 1998 by the US non-profit organization American-Israeli Cooperative Enterprise (AICE). The managing director is the political scientist Mitchell G. Bard . It initially operated under the name Jewish Student Online Research Center (JSOURCE) and currently has the Alexa Rank of 67,761 (September 2019).
