The Jezioro Zygmunta Augusta (German Sigismund-August-See ), also Jezioro Czechowskie ( Czechowiznaer See ) is a reservoir in the Polish Podlaskie Voivodeship . On the southwestern bank of the lake is the village of Czechowizna , the nearest town is Knyszyn , which is about four kilometers south. The lake has an area of ​​440 to 500 hectares. It was created around 1559, making it one of the oldest artificial lakes in Poland. The reason for the plant is not known. According to a legend, the lake was created by the devil at the behest of the magician Pan Twardowski .

The lake is used to raise carp.
