Jimmy Bjorkstrand

Lars Jimmy Christian Björkstrand (born May 4, 1979 in Malmö , Sweden ) is a Swedish goalball player and multiple participant of the Paralympic Games .

Career

Björkstrand started playing goalball in 1993 because his brother was active in this sport. He plays for the FIFH Mighty Ducks club, which is based in his native Malmö. Björkstrand has been a member of the Swedish men's national goalball team since 1995.

As a goalball player, he won the gold medal at the Swedish national championships between 2000 and 2005. He won the Venice International club tournament three times.

In addition to his sporting career, he works as a teacher in a preschool.
