Jimmy Myers
Jimmy Myers , later also known as Jim Myers , is an American country and rockabilly musician .
Myers began his career in Detroit , Michigan in 1951 on the Fortune Records label . There he released his first single along with his Happy Highway Gang. In June 1952 the second single Ding Dong Mama From Tennessee followed , which was recorded together with George Adams.
Myers disappeared from the scene for eight years, but returned to Fortune in 1960 as a rockabilly musician. Pretty Baby Rock / J&D Rock was released in the summer of 1960, followed by Oh! Baby baby same year. Myers also made some unreleased recordings on Super Records.
The label credits on Myers records showed not only Myers but also a number of secondary vocalists and bands such as the Gems or the Montclairs.
