Jindřichův dvůr
The Jindřichův dvůr (German Heinrichshof ) or today also Jindřichův Court is a historic former spa in Kyselka . It has been a listed building since summer 2014 and is being restored.
history
The building was built in the 19th century and was one of the mail-order and spa houses in town. When the municipality of Gießhübl-Sauerbrunn was formed in 1942, the German municipal office moved here, which became Czechoslovakian in 1945. Among other things, the decision to enlarge Kyselkas by joining Nová Kyselka and Radošov was reversed, which gave the spa town its independence. After the communist seizure of power in 1948, the municipal office was closed and a children's hospital was set up here instead . In 1991 it was closed and the building fell into disrepair. In the summer of 2012 the building in the Karlovy Vary City Hall was placed under monument protection following an initiative of the “Association for the Protection and Development of the Cultural Heritage of the Czech Republic” (ASORKD) . The provisional protection lasted six months, after which it was confirmed by judge Antonína Haidlmaiera.
description
The Jindřichův dvůr was a multi-purpose building with a representative entrance hall, ballroom and rooms for a restaurant. It shows elements of classicism as well as half-timbered elements. The image of the building is mainly characterized by the tower that is in front of the southeast corner of the building. Until 1990, a bust of the spa doctor Josef von Löschner was placed in a niche at its foot . This was removed and reinstalled in 2014, during which time the Mattoni spring “sprang up” there .
