Joachim Polite

Joachim R. Höflich (* 1954 ) is a German communication scientist .

Polite is a university professor for communication studies with a focus on interpersonal communication and media integration. A particular focus of his research on interpersonal communication is the use of mobile telephony and its effects on interpersonal relationships and communication. He received his doctorate from the University of Augsburg in 1984 and his habilitation at the Hanover University of Music and Theater in 2002 .

From 2002 to 2020 he was a professor at the University of Erfurt .
