Joan Barry
Joan Barry , actually Ina Florence Marshman Bell (born November 5, 1903 in London , † April 10, 1989 in Marbella , Spain ) was a British actress.
Life
The only 1.57 m tall Joan Barry had her first small appearances in silent films. In 1929 she dubbed Anny Ondra's voice in Alfred Hitchcock's film Blackmail . She is the first voice actress in film history. Hitchcock cast her in 1931 in the female lead in his comedy Finally We're Rich . She shot her last film in 1932 and withdrew completely from the acting business in 1934 after marriage and motherhood.
