Johann Hattmannsdorfer

Johann Hattmannsdorfer (born February 13, 1909 in St. Georgen an der Gusen ; † February 5, 1974 there ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and small farmer. From 1949 to 1962 he was a member of the National Council .

Live and act

Hattmannsdorfer attended primary school and the rural community education center Hubertenhof and subsequently worked as a small farmer. He was also the manager of the warehouse branch in St. Georgen an der Gusen.

Between 1945 and October 9, 1949, he worked as Vice Mayor of St. Georgen an der Gusen, after which he was mayor of the community from October 9, 1949 to October 22, 1967. He also represented the Austrian People's Party from November 8, 1949 to December 14, 1962 in the National Council and between 1946 and 1955 was an agricultural officer in the civil administration of the Mühlviertel. Within the party he was a member of the provincial party leadership of the ÖVP Upper Austria. Furthermore, from 1955 Hattmannsdorfer held the function of a councilor of the Chamber of Agriculture for Upper Austria, was its vice-president between 1967 and 1973 and also acted as deputy chairman of the agricultural and forestry social insurance institute from 1953. As a further function, he was chairman of the Raiffeisenkasse St. Georgen an der Gusen between 1945 and 1974 as well as for a time chairman of the Raiffeisen central bank.
