Johann Heinrich Werlin

Johann Heinrich Werlin (born January 27, 1663 in Frankfurt am Main ; † June 10, 1741 ibid) was a politician in the imperial city of Frankfurt.

Werlin was the son of Johann Philipp Werlin and his wife Anna Margarete nee von Stetten. In 1685 he married Maria Philippine Grambs, the daughter of Georg Tilman Grambs and Ursula Münch. In 1690 he married Susanne Elisabeth Seeliger von Seeligerscron for the second time and in 1697 for the third time with Rebecca Magdalena Ochs.

From 1680 he studied law at the University of Altdorf and from 1683 at the University of Gießen . There he was promoted to Dr. jur. PhD. After graduating, he was a lawyer in his hometown. In 1692 he became a member of the patrician society Zum Frauenstein . On April 26, 1697 he became a member of the council of the imperial city of Frankfurt and 1705 junior mayor. In 1706 he became Schöff and in 1717 Senior Mayor. From 1721 to 1741 he was mayor.
