Johann Kruesz

Johann Kruesz (born April 27, 1879 in Zillingtal ; † April 16, 1960 there ) was an Austrian farmer and politician ( CS ). Kruesz was married and a member of the Burgenland Landtag.

Kruesz was born as the son of farmer Paul Kruesz from Zillingtal and grew up in a Burgenland- Croatian family. Kruesz attended elementary school and subsequently worked as a farmer. Kruesz was mayor of Zillingtal between 1919 and 1921 and between 1925 and 1927 and 1934 and 1938. He came to the Christian Social Party in 1927 as a leading member of the Croatian Christian Farmers' Party (gradijanska hrvatska stranka) and was Councilor of the Burgenland Chamber of Agriculture from 1927 to 1931 and 1936 to 1938. In 1937 he was appointed economics councilor. Kruesz represented the Christian Social Party from May 20, 1927 to October 31, 1934 in the Burgenland state parliament. Between November 11, 1934 and March 12, 1938, he was also a member of the state parliament.
