Johann Maas

Johann Baptist Maas (* 1828 in Zell (Mosel) ; † August 18, 1899 in Marienbad ) was a German lawyer and manager of the mining and metalworking industry .

Life

Johann Maas studied at the Ruprecht-Karls-University of Heidelberg and the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University Bonn Law . In 1848 he became a member of the Corps Suevia Heidelberg . In 1849 he joined the Corps Rhenania Bonn . After completing his studies, he settled in Aachen as a lawyer, became a legal advisor and was general director of the AG for mining, lead and zinc production in Stolberg (Rhineland) .
