Johann von Drimborn

Johann von Drimborn (also Dremborn ; * 15th century in Aachen , † around 1536 there) was aldermen and mayor of the imperial city of Aachen .

Live and act

The son of the former mayor Hermann von Dremborn and Christine Schanternel came from a wealthy family who owned several houses in the best inner-city location of Aachen. He followed his father into the college of aldermen and appeared as such for the first time in 1495. In addition, he was a member of the star guild, which exclusively belonged to aristocratic citizens.

In 1508 was of Drimborn mayor of Imperial City outdoor elected Aachen and in the years 1509, 1515, 1521 and 1530 Send aldermen appointed. He was also a member of the City Council of Aachen for several terms.

Johann von Dremborn was married to Katharina van Eyl, with whom he had several children. A street and a wooded area were named after the family in Aachen, where the Aachen Euregiozoo was later set up.
