John of Borotin

John of Borotin (Czech Jan z Borotína ; † 1458 ) was a Czech scholar.

In 1400 he took the bachelor's degree at Prague University and ten years later that of the master of the arts . From 1415 to 1422 he worked in the function of the dean of the faculty of the arts and from 1425 to 1426 was appointed rector of the Charles University. In 1450 he gave lectures on works by Alfragan ( De differenciis ) at the faculty .
