John A. Cuthbert House

The John A. Cuthbert House in Beaufort

Established in 1811, John A. Cuthbert House is a historic house in Beaufort in the US state of South Carolina . It's on Bay Street at number 1203. It was formerly owned by John Alexander Cuthbert . During the Civil War the house became the property of US Army Brigadier General Rufus Saxton .

It was listed on June 13, 1972 on the National Register of Historic Places with the number 72001192.

Today the house is open to tourists as a hotel under the name The Cuthbert House Inn .
