John Britton (basketball player)

John Britton is a retired American basketball player .

career

Britton played basketball at Charleston High School in West Virginia, and between 1975 and 1979 at the University of Akron in Ohio . In the 1976/77, 1977/78 and 1978/79 seasons, the 1.96-meter-tall winger was the best scorer of the university team. With a total of 1657 points, Britton was second on the all-time Akron basketball list when he left university in 1979.

Britton became a professional basketball player and moved to Germany . In his first professional year 1979/80 he scored a total of 721 points for Eintracht Frankfurt in the main and final round, making it first in the basketball league's list of basketball players  . In the 1980/81 season Britton played at SB DJK Rosenheim in the 2nd basketball league .
