John Freeman, 1919

John Frederick Freeman ( January 29, 1880 - September 23, 1929 ) was an English poet and essayist .

His friend Walter de la Mare campaigned for Edward Marsh to include him in his collections Georgian Poetry 1916–1922 in 1917, 1919 and 1922 . Freeman received the Hawthornden Prize in 1920 for his collection of Poems 1909–1920 .
