John Goldsworthy

John Goldsworthy (* 1980 ) is an art and antiques dealer .

Life

Goldsworthy's parents Anthony-John (1945–2017) and Gloria-Kristin (* 1947) worked professionally with art and antiques. His mother later moved to Germany from England, where she had lived for a few years with her three children and her then husband and worked for the auction houses Sotheby’s and Christie’s .

John Goldsworthy is a trained carpenter . Since 2006 he has been professionally dealing in antiques; In Hildesheim he runs a shop called “Art and Tradition”. Goldsworthy gained national fame through his appearances in the sixth and seventh seasons of the ZDF television series Bares for Rares , in which, in 2016, as an expert, he assessed the exhibits presented to him on their market value.
