John Harle
John Harle (born September 20, 1956 in Newcastle upon Tyne ) is a British saxophonist and composer .
life and career
Harle began his musical career as a clarinetist and served as principal clarinetist in the Coldstream Guards' music corps . He studied saxophone, clarinet and composition at the Royal College of Music . From 1977 to 1982 he was director of the Myrha Saxophone Quartet. He has worked with Paul McCartney on projects such as "Shadow Cycle" and "Standing Stone" and has written the music for over 40 film and television productions (including "Silent Witness"), as well as 35 concert works.
