Career
John McPherson played in his football career at least in the years 1873 and 1874 for the FC Clydesdale from the south of Glasgow . With the club he reached the first final in the history of the Scottish Cup . On March 21, 1874 he lost with Clydesdale the cup final against FC Queen's Park with 0-2.
On March 6, 1875 McPherson played in an international match for Scotland against England at the Kennington Oval in London.
