John Prendergast Vereker

John Prendergast Vereker (* 1822 , † December 1891 ) was in 1863 the Lord Mayor of Dublin ( Lord Mayor of Dublin ).

John Prendergast Vereker was the second eldest son of John Prendergast Vereker, 3rd Viscount Gort and Maria O'Grady (1791-1854). He attended Trinity College in Dublin and received his Master of Arts there . After that, Vereker practiced as a barrister from 1847 . In 1863 he was the Lord Mayor of Dublin. Thus Vereker was the first practicing barrister in this office since 1841, when Daniel O'Connell was Lord Mayor.

On December 21, 1858, he married Louisa Medlicott. The marriage resulted in four children, two daughters and two sons.
