John Rambo (athlete)

John Barnett Rambo (born August 9, 1943 in Atlanta , Texas ) is a retired American athlete . He won a bronze medal in the high jump at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo with a height of 2.16 meters .

Three years after Tokyo, he achieved his personal best with 2.21 meters.

After his career, Rambo got involved in youth work .

Rambo is divorced and has four children.
