John Stafford (politician)
John Stafford (born May 20, 1944 in Dublin ) is an Irish politician.
Stafford was first elected in 1987 for the Fianna Fáil in the Dáil Éireann . In 1989 he was re-elected. In the 1992 elections for the 27th Dáil Éireann, however, he was unable to defend his mandate .
Like his father, former Dublin Mayor Thomas Stafford , Stafford was on the Dublin City Council. His brother Tom Stafford was also on the city council. From July 1997 to July 1998 John Stafford held the office of Lord Mayor of the city like his father.
