The Jolly-mouse lemurs ( Microcebus jollyae ) is an on Madagascar living primate species from the kind of mouse lemurs within the group of lemurs . The species was first described in 2006 , and the name honors primate researcher Alison Jolly.

Jolly lemurs are very small primates with a head body length of 9 to 10 centimeters, a tail length of 12 centimeters and a weight of around 61 grams. Their fur is uniformly reddish-brown on the upper side, the belly and throat are white-gray. As with all mouse lemurs, the rounded head is characterized by its large eyes and large ears.

These primates inhabit tropical rainforests in southeastern Madagascar, their distribution area lies roughly between the Mananara and Mananjary rivers. Very little is known about the way of life of this newly discovered species. Like all mouse lemurs, it is likely to be nocturnal and mainly to be found in the trees. Mouse lemurs are generally omnivores that feed primarily on fruits and insects.

There is also no precise information about the degree of risk. The IUCN lists the species under “too little data available” ( data deficient ).
