Jonas Misiūnas

Jonas Algirdas Misiūnas (born March 25, 1933 in Laukiškiai , Pakuonis Rajon , Lithuania ) is a Lithuanian lawyer, criminal lawyer , former chairman of the Soviet-Lithuanian Supreme Court and Soviet-Lithuanian Deputy Minister of Justice .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1953 at the 4th Kaunas Middle School , he completed his law degree in 1958 at the Vilniaus universitetas and was a professor at the law faculty from 1960 to 1980. From 1957 to 1961 he was people's judge in Lenin - City District Court Vilnius, from 1961 to 1972 Judge of the Supreme Court, 1972-1980 Deputy Minister of Justice , 1980-1990 Chairman of the Supreme Court from 1990 to 2008 Employees of the criminal justice department at the Institute of Law of Lithuania .
