Jonas Owczarek

Jonas Owczarek (born May 23, 1978 in Berlin ) is a former German cyclist .

After he was the only up-and-coming rider to be on the podium in one season both at the DM Cross (master) on the MTB (runner-up) and on the road (third), he was added to the Telekom junior team . Jonas Owczarek was German champion in road racing in the U23 class in 2000. The next year he drove for the Agro-Adler-Brandenburg team . From 2003 he drove for the Lamonta team . In his first year there he won a stage at the Giro del Capo and in 2004 he was successful on a section of the Flèche du Sud . From 2006 to 2008 Owczarek drove for the German Sparkasse team . There he won the Wellinger Mountain Criterion in 2006 and finished fifth in the Münsterland Giro .
