Jonathan English

Jonathan English is a British film director , producer and screenwriter .

He has been in the film business since the mid-1990s. In 1997 he was the producer of the romantic comedy Mr. Right ... at the wrong time . In 2002 and 2006, the crime comedy Nailing Vienna and the fantasy film Minotaur followed, his first two works as a director, but both received relatively little attention. English had his international breakthrough in 2011 with the medieval film Ironclad - Until the Last Warrior , for which he also wrote the screenplay. To produce the film, he founded Mythic International Entertainment in 2008 together with Rick Benattar and Andrew J. Curtis . A sequel followed in 2014 .

English also works as a theater director: in 2012 he directed the drama American Buffalo by David Mamet at Theater 68 in Los Angeles .
