Jorge González Buajasán

Jorge González Buajasán (* 1994 in Havana ) is a Cuban pianist .

He first studied in Cuba at the “Manuel Saumell” and “Alejandro Garcia Caturla” conservatories with Teresita Junco and Hortensia Upmann. In 2006 he moved to Paris to the Conservatoire Regional and in 2007 to the Conservatoire National de Paris , where he studied with Hortense Cartier-Bresson. In 2015 he won the first prize and the audience award at the Kissinger Piano Olympics . He has given concerts in several European countries and at international festivals, such as the Kissinger Sommer 2016 with the Orchester Philharmonique de Marseille under the baton of Lawrence Foster . Also in 2016 he made his debut in Munich's Herkulessaal .
