Jorge Lanata

Jorge Ernesto Lanata (born September 12, 1960 in Mar del Plata ) is an Argentine journalist and writer.

Life

Jorge Lanata founded the daily Página / 12 in 1987 . Until 1994 he was editor-in-chief of the newspaper. At the end of 1995 he left Página / 12 for good. In 2008 he re-founded a newspaper, Crítica de la Argentina , which, however, was closed after two years for economic reasons.

2013 Lanata was Sunday evening at 22 o'clock in the show Periodismo para todos the television station Canal Trece see that the media group Clarín belongs. The show uses comedy and satire to uncover scandals by politicians from the camp of then President Kirchner . In order to get the critical broadcast of Lanata less public attention, the broadcasting rights of the local soccer league were bought by the government, and in direct competition with the government critical reports on public television broadcast under the title "Soccer for all". In response, Lanata's show was also renamed "Journalism for All".

During his work in "La ruta del dinero K" (The way of the K money) he researched corruption cases of several construction projects of the public service and several cases of tax evasion which allegedly occurred during the term of office of both Kirchner presidencies ( Néstor Kirchner and Cristina Fernández de Kirchner ) were committed. The evidence published in his broadcast will be used in the corruption lawsuit against the owner of the construction company involved - Lázaro Baez - and Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.

Today (as of 2019) he leads a radio show called "Lanata Sin Filtro" (translated: Lanata unfiltered) on the Argentinian radio station Radio Miter.
