José Antonio Acosta Hernández

José Antonio Acosta Hernández (aka "El Diego", "El Dientón", "El Diez", "El Bablazo" ) is a suspected Mexican criminal and leader of the group La Línea, which works for the Juarez cartel .

He was arrested on July 29, 2011 in Ciudad Juarez . A reward equivalent to one million euros was offered to him. Authorities accuse him of ordering 1,500 murders of youth, police officers and members of rival gangs. He is also believed to have been involved in the killing of United States consular officials . In addition, car bombs for assassinations against federal police officers are said to have been built on his orders . According to the authorities, he was said to have been one of the "most violent and radical" criminals in Chihuahua , where the Juarez and Pacific cartels were in charge.

Condemnation

On April 5, 2012, Jose Antonio Acosta-Hernandez was sentenced in El Paso, Texas, by federal judge Kathleen Cardone to seven times for life, three consecutive times for life, and a further 20 years of federal imprisonment.
