José Cázares (* 1928 in Mexico City ), also known by the nickname El Chivo ( Eng. The billy goat ), is a former Mexican football player who was used either in defense or in defensive midfield .

biography

"El Chivo" Cázares received his first professional contract in 1948 with CD Marte , with which he won the Mexican championship in the 1953/54 season and was relegated to the Segunda División only a year later .

In the seasons 1958/59 and 1959/60 Chivo Cázares won two further championship titles with the CD Guadalajara , but only made ten appearances in the two tournaments.

Before the 1960/61 season, he moved to the second division CD Nacional , with whom he won the championship straight away and made promotion to the Primera División .
