José Ramón Ballina

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

José Ramón Ballina is a former Mexican soccer player who played for Club Asturias in the 1920s and 1930s and won the Capital League title with this club in the 1922/23 season, which according to the RSSSF database is equivalent to winning the Mexican championship .

It can be assumed that Ballina played for Asturias (almost) throughout his career and the Libro de Oro del Fútbol Mexicano confirms its affiliation with the Asturianos for at least 1922/23, 1925/26, 1927, 1932/33 and 1936 .

For the restart of CF Monterrey , who had to withdraw from the Primera División at the end of the 1945/46 season , in the Segunda División at the beginning of the 1952/53 season, Ballina designed the blue and white striped jerseys based on the model of the Club Asturias.
