José de Jesús Méndez

José de Jesús Méndez Vargas (also known as El Chango , The Fat and Fat Papa ) is a suspected Mexican leader of La Familia Michoacana .

After the supposed death of Nazario Moreno González , there were power struggles within the “La Familia” in which José de Jesús Méndez prevailed.

On June 21, 2011, Mexican police arrested him at a road block in Aguascalientes . When he was arrested, the equivalent of two million euros were exposed to clues leading to his arrest.

José de Jesús Méndez's confession was recorded by the police and broadcast on television.
