Josef Bössner , also Bubi Bössner, (* 1934 or 1935; † October 16, 2005 in Neusiedl am See ) was an Austrian speedway champion.

Josef Bössner was a four-time Austrian national champion (most recently in 1973), and also won several international trophies in speedway sports. In 1990, when he was 55 years old, he made a short comeback as a driver.

After his career, Bössner was an international referee, supervisor and organizer. Bubi Bössner's passion for speedway rubbed off on his son Andreas, who has now won six national championship titles.

Josef Bössner died in a car accident on the main road from Gattendorf in the direction of his hometown Potzneusiedl.
