Josef Klaholz was a German mayor in Brilon . He was in office from 1973 to 1985. Klaholz belonged to the CDU .

During his term of office, the city of Brilon was amalgamated with all the municipalities of the Thülen office and the municipalities of Altenbüren and Esshoff from the previous Bigge office to form the greater municipality of Brilon, which was implemented on January 1, 1975 by the municipal reorganization law. During this time he was also a leading member of the coordination committee to merge the 19 rifle clubs in the new city area to form the city rifle association, of which he was later major. In 1975, together with Friedhelm Farthmann, then NRW Minister of Social Affairs, he laid the foundation stone for the large rest home of the Reichsbund in Brilon. On June 19, 1976, he opened the Almer outdoor pool, which was built during his tenure. From 1974 and 1982 photos have survived that show him at the Brilon Schnadezug .
