Franz Hülshoff

Franz Hülshoff (born May 25, 1930 in Brilon-Alme ; † April 30, 2012 there ) was a German local politician and mayor of the city of Brilon . He was in office from 1985 to 1999 and was a member of the CDU .

From 1964, Hülshoff was a member of the council of the then independent municipality of Alme , which he headed as mayor from 1969 to 1974. From 1970 to 1974 he was the mayor of the Thülen office . After the municipal reform in 1975 he became deputy mayor of the enlarged city of Brilon. On December 31, 1985 he was elected to the mayor's office of Brilon with 33 of 36 votes from the city representatives. After the end of his term of office, he was appointed the first and only honorary mayor on October 29, 1999 by the city council of Brilon and his successor Franz Schrewe .
