Josef Kreiner (politician)

Josef Kreiner (born March 14, 1911 ; † unknown) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and typesetter. Kreiner was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament from 1949 to 1952 .

Life

Kreiner attended elementary and community school and subsequently completed an apprenticeship as a glassblower and then as a typesetter in Komotau in Bohemia. After the German Wehrmacht invaded Czechoslovakia, Kreiner fled with English help, first to Poland and later to Sweden , where he was employed in various professions. After the end of the Second World War, Kreiner returned to Austria in 1946 and served as district party secretary between 1947 and 1952. He represented the SPÖ from November 5, 1949 to November 20, 1952 in the Lower Austrian state parliament and was also a local councilor from 1950 to 1952. Kreiner emigrated to Sweden again in 1952.
