Joseph Collet

Joseph Collet (born July 6, 1871 in Mettnich , † after 1918) was a miner and member of the second chamber of the regional parliament of the Reichsland Alsace-Lorraine for the center .

Joseph Collet, who was a Catholic denomination, attended elementary school and worked in his parents' farm until he was 18. Then he became a miner in Kleinrosseln . He was workers' representative in Section I of the mining trade association and a member of the commission for the issuing of accident prevention regulations.

In the first (and only) election to the state parliament, he ran in the constituency of Forbach as the center's candidate. In the first ballot, 4,608 votes were cast in the constituency out of 5,421 eligible voters. Collet accounted for 2,357, while the candidate from the Lothringer Blocks, Dr. Couturier 1,835 and on the Social Democrats Stadler 365 votes. Joseph Collet was a member of the state parliament until 1918.
