Joseph Rey
Joseph Auguste Rey (born September 10, 1899 in Colmar , † July 26, 1990 there ) was a French politician.
Rey was Lord Mayor of Colmar from 1947 to 1977 . From January 1956 to December 1958 he was also a member of the French National Assembly .
In 1956 he initiated the first meetings between mayors from both sides of the Rhine. This resulted in the Central Alsace-Breisgau Interest Group (CIMAB).
