Jost Baum (* 1954 ) is a German editor and crime writer.

Life

Jost Baum studied social sciences and technology at the Bergische Universität in Wuppertal. During a stay abroad, he studied sociology at the Université de St. Etienne in France, and after his studies he also spent some time abroad. At first he earned his living as a lecturer in a school book publisher and as a teacher in adult education in Wuppertal. In addition, he wrote many crime novels that were published by Klein & Blechinger Verlag. Jost Baum made his debut with his novel Computers don't cry . This was followed by a crime series with the main character of the Bochum local reporter Eddie Jablonski . As a father of two, Jost Baum also publishes children's crime novels for the first time. The holiday detectives are u. a. published in Chinese.
