The Journal of Cryptology (often abbreviated as JoC ) is the official publication organ of the International Association for Cryptologic Research (IACR). The magazine has been published since 1988 and publishes four issues a year. Thematically, the magazine published by Springer-Verlag aims to be an organ for the publication of original works from the field of modern information security .

Currently the Dane Ivan Damgård and the US American Matthew Franklin are the magazine's editor-in-chief. With 11 publications, the Israeli Yehuda Lindell is the author with the most publications in the JoC.
