The Journal of Intellectual Property, Information Technology and E-Commerce Law ( JIPITEC ) is an online legal journal first published in 2010 . The thematic focus is European law with regard to intellectual property , information technology and e-commerce .

JIPITEC is published by Professors Thomas Dreier ( KIT Karlsruhe ), Axel Metzger ( University of Hanover ) and Gerald Spindler ( University of Göttingen ), who are supported by an international advisory board. The journal is available as an open access journal free of charge on the Internet and is part of the Digital Peer Publishing Initiative. Most of the articles appear in English, German or French.

JIPITEC appears three to four times a year. The selection of contributions is based on a peer review process. The journal is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).
