Juan Ernesto Alemann

Juan Ernesto Alemann (born December 2, 1927 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine economist and journalist.

His father was Ernesto Alemann (1893–1982), Roberto Alemann is his brother. Her ancestor, Johann Alemann (1826-1893) immigrated from Bern , Switzerland with his son Moritz (1858-1908) in 1874 , had started his sixth newspaper project with Moritz in 1878, the Argentinisches Wochenblatt , and in 1889 the Argentinisches Tageblatt with their sons Theodor and Ernst founded.

After graduating from college, Juan Ernesto Alemann studied Colegio nacional in Buenos Aires at the University of Bern and obtained his doctorate with the thesis On the Critique of Modern Marginal Productivity Theory: An Investigation of the Function and Significance of the Law of Income for Determining the Demand for Means of Production for a Doctorate in Political Science , Department of Economics.

In 1951 he joined the editorial staff of the Argentinisches Tageblatt, where his political editorials appeared on the situation in Argentina. During the fight against guerrillas in Argentina, his article The Political Considerations appeared on March 17, 1974 , in which he suggested to Perón that the ringleaders of the radical left and right-wing terrorists, Mario Firmenich , Roberto Quieto and Rodolfo Ortega Peña, should disappear from the scene.

He worked at various study centers for economic research. In 1968 he was a member of a commission for the reform of the pension system in the Ministry of Welfare, advisor to the housing secretary, and president of the mortgage bank Banco Hipotecario . 1976–1981 he served as State Secretary for Finance. Since his father's death he has been running the Argentinisches Tageblatt with his brother Roberto and his uncle Eduardo. In 1992 he bought the newspaper La Razón with Carlos Spadone .
