The trade journal Jugendhilfe-aktuell appears several times a year and deals with issues relating to child and youth welfare . The magazine is aimed at youth welfare professionals, youth welfare politicians, scientists and interested parties in Westphalia-Lippe and beyond.
Each issue includes one or more key topics as well as many current reports from selected fields of activity in child and youth welfare, some with the regional focus on Westphalia-Lippe.

In addition to the printed edition, which can also be downloaded from the Internet as PDF files, there is an e-mail newsletter that appears at irregular intervals between the magazine editions. The printed editions cannot be subscribed to, but can be ordered in the publisher's webshop.
history
Jugendhilfe-aktuell has been published since issue 1/2004 (beginning of 2004) and is a merger of the two magazines Mitteilungen des Landesjugendamt (published from 1969 to 2003) and Jugendhilfe-Info (published from 1994 to 2003).
