Julia Mayer (born January 20, 1993 ) is an Austrian long-distance runner . She is five times Austrian champion (2017-2019).

Career

Julia Mayer was active as a soccer player before she started running in 2016.

In 2017 she won the quarter marathon in the Wachau Marathon .

In 2019 she became state champion cross-country running in Tyrol. At the European Cross Country Championships in 2019 , the then 26-year-old came in 22nd as the best Austrian in December.

Julia Mayer starts athletics at the DSG Vienna , she is trained by Karl Sander and works as a teacher in a sports school.
