European Cross Country Championships 2019

The 26th European Cross Country Championships the EAA found in the Portuguese capital on December 8th, 2019 Lisbon instead. After Oeiras in 1997 and Albufeira in 2010, the European Cross-Country Championships were held in Portugal for the third time.

The course in the Parque da Bela Vista park consisted of a large lap of 1500 m and a small lap of 500 m, plus a start straight (125 m) and a home straight (100 m) in each race. The men completed six large and two small laps (10,225 m), the women and the U23 men five large and one small laps (8225 m), the U23 women and the U20 men each 4 large laps (6225 m) and the U20 women two large and two small laps (4225 m). In the mixed relay (6225 m), each participant went through the big round once.
