Tadesse Getahon (born December 20, 1997 ) is an Israeli athlete who specializes in long-distance running.

Athletic career and life

Tadesse Getahon gained his first international experience in 2017 when he finished 15th in the 10,000 meter run at the U23 European Championships in Bydgoszcz in 30: 37.49 minutes . Two years later he won the silver medal behind Frenchman Jimmy Gressier at the U23 European Championships in Gävle in 28: 46.97 min and finished fourth in the 5000 meter run in 14: 17.43 min. In December he reached fourth place in the U23 classification after 24:50 minutes at the European Cross Country Championships in Lisbon .

In 2019, Getahon became the Israeli champion in the 5000 meter run.
